DTC Websites & Discussion groups These are informal registries and discussion groups originated by various "waiting" parents to track the referral process. The websites usually list waiting parents according to the month in which their dossier was logged-in by the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs). This is known as the "DTC" (dossier-to-China) or the roughly equivalent LID (log-in) date. (DTC has always been used to mean "date of arrival" at CCAA). Typically, DTC sites include referral photos and list additional data. For the discussion groups, a subscription procedure is provided at the main webpage for the month's list (i.e., discussion group)--see the entry beside 'Discussion' for each month's entry below. Parents do not always know the actual "log-in" date even if they know the date of the arrival of their dossier at CCAA, so the designations "DTC" and "LID" remain essentially synonymous in these listings. |
