Families DirectoryParents who have adopted from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, who wish to be included in a directory of families who have adopted from there, may send the specified information to the address below, along with one dollar to cover print & mail cost.
The directory's first mailing was was sent to the 44 participating families in early 1996. If new entries warrant, the directory will be revised and mailed annually. The 3rd Edition of the directory was mailed in October, 1999. Please note that only the directory's participating families receive a copy. To protect privacy, the list will not be made available to others.
Rationale: Originators of the directory see it as an archive of information which our Changzhou daughters and sons may find to be valuable in the future. It offers them a link to others with whom they share some aspects of their personal histories. This can be of value even if contacts are not made, since it shows that this (listed) group exists -- that these individuals are not, so to speak, alone. The more children who are listed within an age group, the more value the directory will have. -BC, present keeper of the directory.
